The Ardmore Flying School has been training pilots since 1961 and is recognised internationally as a quality facility, providing consistently high standards in all aspects of flight training.
Many Ardmore Flying School graduates are flying for airlines all over the world. It's instructors bring a wealth of experience, including 'A' Category instructors each with over 20 years of experience in fixed wing instruction.
Our Rotary division extends our operations and makes available an experienced 'A' Category instructor with 14 years with the RNZAFand current Airline route flying.
Our large, modern fleet of fixed wing and helicopter aircraft includes fourteen 'R' model Cessna 172 aircraft. These new planes have been purchased over the period of the last 5 years, direct from the Cessna Factory in Kansas.
Our use of Aviation Simulation Technology and a policy of one - on - one training makes Ardmore Flying School one of the few schools in the Pacific Rim able to offer personalised programs using new aircraft.
The majority of Ardmore Flying School's students are of New Zealand origin, but there are also students from many other countries, providing a truly international environment.
Our instructors enjoy a good rapport with all nationalities.
Our experience in training overseas students is evidenced by the fact that we undertake ab-initio and advanced training programmes for numerous Asian and Pacific Rim Airline Carriers.
Ardmore Flying School has had considerable experience designing courses and training overseas students. We currently have students from -

Our experience with a wide range of cultures and backgrounds gives our staff the ability to help and encourage students, particularly with language and the many other issues that arise from living in a foreign country.
